Regional Director of Business Development

We are currently recruiting for a Regional Director of Business Development to lead and inspire our entrepreneurial team in Asia Pacific.

Key Responsibilities:

This executive position is key to the company's continued growth and market dominance. The role is predominately a hands on “direct sales” role and not simply a management role of directing “traffic”. Specific responsibilities include: providing executive leadership to the region in its strategic development and positioning; full profit and loss responsibility; budgeting and forecasting. The Regional Director of Business Development will be responsible for evaluating, developing and executing partnerships and agreements that are strategic to our business objectives.  The region requires a strong individual capable of managing remote locations and a multi-cultural staff. It requires a collaborative management style, capable of building a positive working atmosphere throughout the organization. He/she will have responsibility for business development, reservations, and CRM support teams.

Requirements:

  • At least 10 years prior senior management experience at the executive level within the hospitality, hotel, marketing, and travel industry preferably with a prominent, international organization working in Asia-Pacific.
  • At least 5 years experience in developing and leading sales, marketing and customer service programs and initiatives in a multi-site, multi-domestic environment.
  • At least 3 years hospitality sales and marketing experience with prior experience building a business development team;
  • Demonstrated experience in negotiating business alliances;
  • Experience developing standards for business development activities;
  • Strong organizational and people management skills
  • BA/BS in related field, MBA preferred.
  • Must be articulate in English (Proficiency Mandarin an asset).
  • Flexible to travel – 50%, without any restrictions in his/her travel schedule.

The Regional Director of Business Development will report to the Area Director and will be based in Shanghai or Singapore. Salary package includes base plus incentives/bonus.

E-Commerce Marketing Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Coordinate outbound promotional email campaigns (including schedule, conceptual design, strategy, copy and creative) including:
    • Email Newsletters
    • Renewal Emails
    • Reservation Promotions
  • Coordinate partner hotel reservations and commissions strategy
  • Manage content on supporting websites
  • Create and manage digital assets (photos, logos, etc.) to support marketing and communication objectives
  • Provide support to our worldwide marketing department as needed

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a strong, self-starter with 1 to 2 years marketing experience:

BA or BS is required

  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop is highly desirable
  • Basic understanding of HTML desirable
  • Fluency in multiple languages a plus
  • Hotel reservations experience a plus

Candidate must also have strong organizational and communication skills, ability to manage multiple time-sensitive assignments simultaneously, and the ability to work collaboratively on diverse multifunctional teams.
